Double neck guitar = double the rocking!
Gulf of Mexico Oil Disaster
What will the impacts of the catastrophic BP oil leak be? No one knows.

IF – “Brave”
I automatically think of lions when I hear the word brave, and that lead me to draw this:
But it also made me to wonder why lions are a symbol of bravery. The answer is actually hard to find! The only answer I found is that lions are a strong, majestic animal on top of the food chain, and this is why they are considered “brave.” Seems like the zebras and other beasts they hunt are the brave ones…hmmm maybe I should rethink this one all together!
IF – “Clumsy”
I have been busy lately and haven’t been able to play Illustration Friday in a while…but finally got to it this week! Â Here is a quick one of my idea of clumsy, or what could potentially result in some clumsiness…

DC
And here is the second painting I just completed, this one of the DC skyline at night. I have this one scanned in, for easy reproduction hopefully sometime in the near future!

New Landscape Paintings
It has been a busy few months for me! Working on a children’s book project, as well as starting a new series of landscape triptychs. Here is the first one I did…of the corner of First Ave and 10th St in NYC, my old block.

New Fall Mailer!
I just mailed out a round of promotional postcards for the fall, here they are:
And while I was taking pictures in my office I thought I would share my workspace. Â Here are some photos of my computer/clean desk and my painting/messy desk:

Nothing crazy different or exciting, but I always like seeing where other people work…so enjoy!
Macy’s Parade
Reminiscing about going to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as a kid, and how the balloons used to really scare me…the seem HUGE when you are just a little kid! Especially if they are carrying weapons…
